The Brief: The homeowners wanted to expand their footprint to create a social, open-plan kitchen and dining area that connected effortlessly with their garden and existing living room.
The Solution: We constructed a single-story rear extension designed to blend sympathetically with the original building’s brickwork. By removing the rear wall, we created a large aperture that connects the new kitchen to a cozy lounge area.

The Kitchen: The heart of the extension is a sophisticated two-tone kitchen. It features dove-grey perimeter units with a contrasting slate-blue island, finished with elegant brass handles and durable marble-effect surfaces.

Light & Space: To prevent the space from feeling dark, we installed a large rectangular roof lantern directly above the kitchen workspace. This, combined with wall-to-wall bi-fold doors, floods the room with natural light.

The Living Space: To maintain a modern aesthetic in the lounge, we constructed a false chimney breast/media wall. This houses a widescreen electric fireplace and provides a recessed mount for the TV, keeping cables hidden for a clean look.

The Exterior: The extension is finished with high-quality facing brick and black rainwater goods, seamlessly leading onto a new patio area perfect for summer entertaining.
