Single story extensions

Single story extensions are as is self-explanatory single story. They help to enhance the layout of the home and add value. Single story extensions are often used to extend smaller kitchens to open plan kitchen diners, adding utility rooms or a children’s playroom. Incorporating panel glazing or bifold doors with your single-story extension also increases light and gives the feel of a larger area.

Wrap around extensions

Wraparound extensions help to really maximise space. There is a side and rear element to the extension which creates a L shaped space. You will need planning for this type of extension so it is best to speak to your local authority initially.

Two storey extensions

Two storey extensions are good economical way of adding lots more space to your home rather than a single storey extension and they look impressive. You will get double the height of a single-story extension but the costs of the roof and foundations are very similar.

Loft conversion/loft extension

Loft extensions or loft conversions are a great way of ensuring that you utilise your space. Loft extensions often are used to provide an extra bedroom,  Dormer loft conversions also you to increase the useable floor space and height.

Basement extensions

Basement extensions are increasing in popularity and many are being used to create extra rooms such as cinema rooms. Other ideas we have seen with basement extensions are home gyms, offices, extra bedrooms and even swimming pools.  When thinking of adding a basement extension you will need to consider headroom and if excavation will be required.

Rooftop extensions

Flat roof tops and roof terraces can also be extended using prefabricated modular construction materials and add extra space by extending upwards.
